Well, sorry but you are dead wrong.

First of all, I would doubt that any climate scientist believes that "exagerrating" Global Warming is even possible, much less "no better than denying it." So far, the most extreme climate projections from decades ago have been EXCEEDED by the speed and severity of climate change and catastrophic events that have manifested since. More over, as Global Warming accelerates and intensifies, it creates a positive feedback loop that will spiral further and further out of control. The problem is humanity has released too much greenhouse gasses into the atmosphere... and continues to INCREASE the amount released. The only thing that has saved us from catastrophe already (though ask those whose homes have been obliterated if they have been "saved") is the various "carbon sinks" around the world. But now even these sinks are threatened. Those California wildfires threatening to take out the Redwoods and the Sequoias that have been theire thousands of years.... wait until the Amazon and central Africa and the forests of Asia look like that in a few years. Carbon stored in sinks around the world - in forests and marshes and tundra and the seafloor will be released, exponentially increasing the greenhouse effect.

Secondly, though, obviously, the "planet" itself is not going to end... the planet humans have always known - and that ALL life upon it has known for the past 66 million years... is very definitely threatened by Global Warming. Will all life end? No, but literally hundreds of thousands of species, thriving upon this planet just decades ago, are now facing extinction, if they haven't already been pushed over the edge. As these species - and perhaps more importantly, the ecosystems they help support - collapse and disappear, the livability of the planet for mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and many sea life forms will deteriorite, very possibly to the point of non-viability. The phenomenon is called a trophic cascade collapse. Good luck with that.

Thirdly, it is currently estimated that well over one BILLION humans will be climate refugees within 30 years. Imagine that many people on the move. Imagine that kind of disruption to food supplies and resources that will create. Imagine the political turmoil. Imagine the backlash. It is no wonder that the United States Department of Defense has labeled Global Warming as the No. 1 longterm "national security risk." Immediately after totally flunking our response to a very mild pandemic, humanity is totally unprepared for the runaway train of Global Warming headed directly for us.

Your Pollyanna view of the problem appears to be totally blind of the actual, basic science.
