You are just digging yourself deeper. So, you clarify it's only the "infrastructure" you feel "a little bit bad" about. Hmmm.... the people being obliterated? Uh, nah. Sounds like you have a conservative, life is cheap, streak, yourself.

You must not have read my piece carefully, as I clearly stated support for the state of Israel. And the state of Palestine. The two state condition, the ONLY would-be reality that is both supported by the majority of non-Jews AND Jews! And the ONLY condition that has a prayer of bringing lasting peace. Israel absolutely does NOT "have the right" to Palestinian territory.

"No more Jews?" WTF? Where do you possibly come up with this stupidity from my piece?

There is no one seriously suggesting that the Jews be expelled from their legitimate territory. But there certainly IS and ongoing effort to expel the Palestinians from theirs.

And you ask, "Why on Earth would Israel believe that if they withdraw from Gaza..." Aha, so you are on the side of staying in Gaza... forever, I guess.

No, Zionism USED to mean the effort to create a Jewish State in their traditional homeland. The U.N. gifted this to them. One of the few instances in the history of the world that a "nation" was just plopped down on top of an existing population by decree because it "used to be their" land. Mission accomplished. And, believe me, Native Americans are scratching their heads, "How do we get that kind of deal?". But now, Zionism clearly means the takeover of territories not included in that original charter, and the forced removal, death or essential imprisonment of those remaining Palestinians. The boundaries should be what the U.N. established, and Israel agreed with back in the day when the original Zionists promised to "be faithful to the Charter of the U.N" (instead of now spitting on it), and "extend our hand to all neighboring states and their peoples in an offer of peace" rather than bombing their "neighbor" off the map.

Israel long ago gave in to conservative, rage-based, "solutions," and hasn't been much interested in being a good neighbor since. I get it, the Muslims keep being nasty themselves, resorting to their own conservative "solutions." But how has that worked out for ya? Or for them? Not too well. Neither will it this time.

This episode began when Hamas struck back because of what Israel has done to the Palestinians. Why on Earth would you think you are going to kill as many as you can and deport the rest, and that's the last you will hear of them? Israel is sowing the wind. The whirlwind is coming.
